How ECOHOST MALTA works

Collect your guests' eco contribution without needing a PMS. EcoHost works with any booking platform because it never needs to connect to one โ€” you stay in control of every message.

1

Create your account

Add your property, including your MTA registration number. Start with a 14-day free trial โ€” no card required.

2

Set up how you get paid

Connect your Stripe account for card payments, and/or add your Revolut and/or PayPal links โ€” whichever combination suits you. All of them pay out straight to you.

3

Enter the booking

Guest name, dates and guest count โ€” from Booking.com, Airbnb, Vrbo, a direct booking or anywhere else.

4

EcoHost calculates the contribution

Using the current configured eco-contribution rules.

5

Generate the payment request

EcoHost creates a payment link and a ready-made guest message.

6

Copy the message to your guest

Paste it into your booking platform's guest chat, WhatsApp or email. EcoHost does not send anything to your guest automatically โ€” you stay in control of that conversation.

7

Your guest pays

Via your Revolut or PayPal link if you've set one up (shown first), or by card through Stripe.

8

Confirm the payment

Card payments through Stripe are confirmed automatically. For Revolut or PayPal, your guest marks it as sent and you confirm receipt once you see it land in your account. If a guest can't use Revolut, you can send them Stripe or PayPal as a backup with one click.

9

EcoHost records it for you

Your guest's confirmation and follow-up message are sent automatically.

10

Reconcile anytime

Every payment is organised into quarterly reports you can export as Excel, CSV or PDF to reconcile your own MTA records โ€” your host account keeps clean, organised records throughout.

ECOHOST MALTA helps you collect and record the environmental contribution. It does not submit anything to the MTA on your behalf, does not integrate automatically with Booking.com, Airbnb or any other platform, and is not a property management system โ€” you remain responsible for your own reporting obligations.
